Overdrive and back-up sensor problems
I have an '05 V10 with 74,000 miles. The overdrive button on the gear shift does not work and it keeps me in trailering mode. If I put it in park and jostle the shifter and steering wheel, sometimes it works. Also, the back-up sensors no longer work. Any ideas for these issues? Thanks.

Take the plastic cover off of the steering column. Inspect the wires where they enter the shift handle. They are either worn or broken. Either fix the wires or replace the shift handle for about $65 from a Ford dealer.
