Overdrive problems
i have a 2003 f250 v10 automatic and just recently the overdrive light on the shifter stopped coming on and when you hit the button it doesnt do anything. Also i can be driving down the road and it wont always shift into overdrive and i can wiggle the shifter just right and it will come on, or come on and go off again several times. Id really appreciate any ideas. thanks

Take the plastic cover off of the steering column, both the top and bottom pieces.
Inspect the wires where they enter the shift handle. They are damaged or broken. Either fix the wires or install a new handle. A new handle is about $65 from a dealer.
