well i finally got around to adjusting the TPS. right now i have it set to 1.08VDC idle & 4.50VDC WOT. i HATE it lol. even driving down my driveway it won't shift until at least 2K rpm. when driving out on the road i CAN'T use any more than 1/2 throttle or it would be revving to yellow line or more everytime. even using less than half throttle it revs out to 3000-3200 rpm. the way it shifts now the shifts are VERY firm and it almost slams into gear. when it does shift it is weird, each shift has almost like two little shifts in it. not just one smooth shift.
i will try the truck the way it is tomorrow on my drive to work. i am taking my tools and dvom to adjust the tps if needed. it is nice that it doesn't lug so much in o/d like it did with the other setting on the tps.
i'm just getting tired of CONSTANTLY having to fiddle with something on this truck. i really want to upgrade to a "newer" superduty. not to mention this truck is slow a S$^t.
i went back out and played with it some more it is still set at 1.08VDC idle but now it is at 3.73VDC WOT. shift timing is MUCH better and shift feel is greatly improved. i am done messing with the TPS once and for all.

they all require repairs and maintenance.it's just that the latter trucks are more expensive to fix, upgrade and maintain.iv tried the newer truck w/ payments before........it's not long after you buy, that you find yourself with repair bills anyway, and then it's just on top of payments and higher insurance rates.that makes a guy really happy right there, let me tell ya.

the way it shifts now is pretty much the same as it was at .99v idle and 3.80v WOT. but the 3.73v WOT that it is at now is MUCH better than when it was at 4.50V.
This is why I only use a volt meter to ball park set the TPS. After that, test drive and twist if needed. The volt meter is tossed aside at this point.
