well my truck is pretty heavy,so likely a bit latter than a stock/lighter f250 of course.about 1500-2k rpm when empty,on flat ground.if much latter than 2k,then im either taking off pretty hard to scoot out safely in traffic,or iv got a load on.
you've got to wiggle them wires.you know right now, since she's shifting her normal, that the wires are joined.it's when the brake in wire due to vibration causes your issue.-the theory anyway since it's intermittent.
holy crap!!! mine NEVER shifts under 2k rpm unless i am CRAWLING along in traffic. even driving easy and civilized it does not shift until after 2k rpm. just to keep up with the flow of traffic i usually shift at about 2500 rpm.

Play with the TPS a little more. You can fine tune them.
The only time I use a volt meter on that critter is to set it up. After that, its the test drive and twist method. (Test drive to find the shift points. Twist the TPS to make the shift points to your liking.)

Sometimes the stock specs suck.
ok i will try that. i just don't want to see that damn o/d light of doom start blinking lol.
I've tried everything... Can't get it figured...tried Adjusting vrv, vacumn modulator, fresh built trans, fluid, filter, 88' idi with sluggish movement, and great powerfull well running fresh rebuilt engine... Would have thought is be on the road by now, but trans feels to be slipping.. can't figure it out.. good vacumn at modulator and vrv.. no clue what's up.. dropped the pan twice, nothing looks wrong.. please help!

There is no vacuum modulator on a diesel trans, Download the zip file on here....
It may help ya out, Has alot of the trouble codes even how to remove the computer and manually shift the trans to check the solenoids
There is a vacumn modulator mounted in the rear right corner on my transmission... And trouble codes would do me no good, because I don't have my engine running on a computer.. only 4 wires to run, and its in a Ford ranger... If you can believe that.. but thanks for the help otherwise...
Thanks for backing me up on that... Any clues to a possible solution for me... I'm baffled... Ready to install an aftermarket tach somehow, and see how many rpms I'm spinning to move anywhere... Does that stupid electronic od sensor need to be wired on the side if the trans. To give it dome ***** even if I'm manually shifting? That seems dumb to me...

was the torque converter replaced when the trans was rebuilt?
