Basically I have a bone stock 1994.5 Ford F-250, 7.3L PSD and am looking to improve with basic bolt ons (Intake, exhaust, downpipe, tuner, etc)
What are some recommendations? Brands, past experiences, anything helpful would be much appreciated!
Cheers
Nick
Gauges should be your first move. You wanna know what the engine and trans( if an auto, a temp gauge) then move onto a 6637 filter, 3"Dp and four inch exhaust of your choice and any tuner that custom tunes a 6 position TS performance chip ( PHP, gearhead, beans, swamps, DI, Dp tuner.... just a few of the popular).
I have a pyro (after turbo) already and have a 5pd ZF tranny.
Now for the 6637 filter, I was looking at a RiffRaff kit Riffraff Diesel: RDP 6637 Filter Kit
but I remember being told that metal intake tubes are actually worse for performance vs plastic?
thanks for the help!

Get that pyro pre turbo. After that intake, exhaust and chip. After that it depends on how much you're willing to spend and what you want to do.
basically anything that can be done by me, in my garage. I do not want to do anything internal to the engine. Just trying to boost power while not affecting reliability drastically.
I advise getting the drivetrain, brakes, fluids, engine and transmission mounts, cooling system, steering, wheel alignment and suspension in good order before performance mods. Pays off in the long run.

As silly as it sounds, it's really a good way to go.
Some of these things can drastically change how the truck feels going down the road.

Im actually in the process of that and i tell you what its hard not to drop some cash on some performance mods

x2 on that.
Id recommend drivers side exhaust manifold. Right before it bends. There is plenty of room in that manifold to drill in and have the probe not hit the other side.
And like they said... make sure all fluids and structural integrity is good.
When i bought my truck I did an oil change, turned rotors/drums, got synthetic brake pads, checked additive levels in coolant, fluid levels in diff, flushed tranny, PS fluid. A few other small things JUST to make sure shes good to drive safely.
I had the truck inspected before I bought it, everything came back okay other then the front fuel tank having a small hole, 2nd gear syncros is a bit mugged but driveable, brakes were all new two years ago and the pads need to be done probably next year, once I get some time to myself (working monday-saturday 7am-5pm and I need my truck to get to and from) I plan on dumping every fluid possible and throwing in new stuff. The truck had a K&N filter that was less then ideal so I tossed it and put in a oem paper filter for now. And the shocks are rusty as hell (expected when winter lasts 6 months of the year).
I appreciate all the info though, I am not a guy that does things half *** or jury rig things.
