Hows this combo?

00 f250 7.3 6speed
150,000miles moble 1 all its life clean!!!!!

My plans are
AFE Bruteforce intake
Bullydog powerpup tuner (any good?)
Bullydog 5in full exhaust (a little big but would it hurt? or loose power?)
boost and pyro, guage.

Im new to this so how does this look?
I now i dont need 5in exhaust but it looks sweet!(just as long as it doesnot hurt)
How do yall like the bullydog tuner?

Thanks Adam,

ive had both the bully dog 4bank chip and the tuner.
i absolutely hated the tuner i liked the chip a lot but it was kinda high egts but with a 5inch you might not have any problems.
the only chip/programmer i have ever liked is diablo and they are by far and away the easiest company to deal with.

adma red 351,

If you want a programmer get the Edge Evloution, best trans tunes and lots of options to make it do what you want vs a plain programer, second choice is the Predator by Diablo if you're into tech and diagnostics. Don't get the 5 inch exhaust you'll likely not like the drone they produce, get a MBRP 4 inch system and one of our 4 to 6 inch 18 inch long tips, looks bigger than a 5 inch and sounds great !! Gauges, we stock Auto Meter, Isspro and DiPriocl, take a look at them and pick the one that looks the best to you, operationally and accuracy they are gonna be the same. Take a look at the AFE Pro Guard 7 Stage II intake, the best for flow and stops the dirt as compared to 4 layer gauze filters, you have a really nice truck there you don't want to dust the motor with dirt etc. Plus the Stage II has a much higher flow than others and even includes the 6 inch turbo inlet mandrel bent intake tube.

Call us if you have any questions, we have been doing the diesel performance products for years and have seen and done it all and will be glad to help you with questions etc.

MarkDPP I disagree on the drone of the 5". I put your 5" system on my truck, even dumped it in front of the rear wheel and it's still quieter than my stock system with the BTM. Windows rolled up. Rolled down is a different matter.
The stock system had an irritating drone at 2000 RPM that would drown out conversation. That has been cut in half now.

Thanks Adam,
I had the bruteforce and for a lot less $$ you can get a piece of 4" exhaust and a Napa 6637 filter to get more air in. I felt like the bruteforce filter let a lot of dust/dirt past it. 6637 is a paper filter but huge so let's in a lot of air. just my .02

You will loose some on the bottom end with a 5" exhaust. A 5" is not "needed" unless you are 450hp or over and I highly doubt you will get close to that.

Fordafied I didn't lose anything at the bottom end of my torque. The turbo already gives a lot of backpressure.

That is probably the 1st time I have heard of some one not loosing anything on the bottom end and I been around for awhile. It must have something to do with your truck being a 6 speed. It was proven on another site, which I can not mention on here or it will be kicked out, that you will loose some bottom end torque. I know the truck that was tested had an automatic trans. It lost torque on the bottom end but gained more on the top end, of-coarse that truck had a lot more mods than you and was set-up for speed and not towing.

It's a complete mystery to me that there would be any change at low RPM whatever the transmission, axle gearing, etc with a simple exhaust reconfiguration. It in no way changes the amount of fuel injected, injection timing, etc.
Not that I don't believe thier claims, but it would be very interesting to see what a dynometer would say, not the butt-O-meter.

Their test was by dynometer and not what ever this butt- O- meter test you call it. All testing was done in their shop and it had everything to do with back pressure. I know you think the turbo provides the back pressure and will not make a difference but their test showed different. However, I was not there to see it in person, so all I can go by is what I read. If I can find it again I will send it to you by PM. This site does not like for someone to post anything about their site. I tried it in the past and it got deleted.

I got my 4" turbo back for this site's owner, MotorHaven
I got the Hog Performance and do not have any complaints about it.

Excellent Fordafied, I would love to see it. I'm never too old to learn.
