As to the movies the best part of the first one was the charger, and I saw the second one and the best part was the race between the hemi challenger and the yenko camaro vs the ricers.
both movies were entertaining, but I still consider ricers the enemy.

i liked the revving contest. They're all dancin around to their rap music, revving their soda can size engines. Then The Yenko revs his motor and the thing roar and shakes and the kids are like "daaaayyummmm!"
yeah ill agree ricers are a low life form ... but not all oversees vehicles are ricers ... i have a 1990 f250 with a 351 ... but my dream vehicle is a 1988 bmw m3 ... stock 300hp ... now thats a car... but i still love my truck

Hi,
believe me, a '88 BMW M3 is not a dream worth, parts are very rare and expensive.

gets you thinking doesn't it?
It could have the 900+hp but then again its just a movie and not just a movie, its a load of crap that movie is
I have to admit, I enjoyed the movie for the technology that goes into making a 10 sec car out of a 2 ltr engine, the stunt driving was great, and the blown Charger was a work of art. It was fairly obvious (to me) that the script writers didn't use consultants...alot of techno-babble...the spewing forth of parts and accesories that didn't make much sense when put together as a whole...and is it just me, or did anyone else notice the virtually impossible stunt pulled by the Charger??? Smoking the tires AND pulling the wheelie??? I can't believe we have 5 pages in this thread and not one mention of it!!!
the charger was from "the fast and furious" not the second one.
But on that note I have the movie and I watched it with director commentary on and when they did that stunt...it is actually done not a hollywood hoax, it took 5 times he said it kept getting flooded when it lifted and wouldn't do it right.
Now who knows how they had that car set up. With there budget I'm sure I could get my truck doing wheelie burnouts
Wel, the charger never actually pulled a wheelie, it was on a jig, as was its encounter with the big rig....that was a ramp, the wheelie was a hydraulic ram lift, if I remember correctlyu..
BTW, this thread was dead 2 months ago. Why is it back?
c'mon Chado...you really believe that? Physics brother...how do you get a wheel stand? With tires that hook up, pure and simple...if the tires are smokin', it means they are spinnin' and not grippin' (notice the tire smoke before the front end comes up)...I think Jimmie Dean is correct...it's on some sort of jig...and at that angle, it would flood out
BTW, I know the Charger is from the first one...I haven't seen 2 yet, just had to add my .2 cents worth.
I haven't seen the second one yet, but the first one floats around cable channels often enough. :/
Definately the Charger the the best of the first, not a question.
Yeah, we have some ricers around here (Bufflao area). A couple of times, when I pull up behind them, and the passengers in the ricer are looking and pointing at hte front of my truck, I use the good ol' dual 100W spots on my front bar. WIth my truck being lifted, the light floods the car in front. The kiddies get a nice pop of bright light in their eyeballs.
Omni, while I am not objecting, I will still say that that is illegal to use your off road lights on the road. only other lights authorized for on road use light aside from mains is headlights, flashing lights on emergency response vehicles, and a search light, on an approved vehicle in the process of a search and/or seizure....i.e. pulling your butt over for using your KC lights to blind some poor misguided kid in a ricer.

Oh, don't get me wrong Jimmy, it's not like I go out and actively *search* for that instance!
There's not a whole lot of streetlights where it happened, I don't drive with them on (I probably shouldv'e mentioned that this was at a stoplight, not driving around), and the kiddies were "shooting the bird" at me in the first place, so I just popped them, like a flash bulb. Hellova sight to see their smug faces all asputter.

Hrm ya I should know better then what anyone from hollywood says, just kinda repeating what he says (I doubted anyone else on here would of had enough interest in the first movie when it came out to actually watch the dvd a second time through with director commentary on heh)
