Guy's,
1995 F-150 5.0. I have the cable harness removed from PCM, but i cant determine if the PCM is removed by pulling towards engine compartment or from inside cab. The cab location behind the parking brake is very tight.
PCM appears to be sitting inside a bracket.
Thanks!
You take it out from inside the cab. There is one bolt holding a little plastic clamp, remove that and then pull the back of the ECU towards the brake pedal just enough to clear the depression where it sits, then pull it straight towards you.
I appreciate the advice, BUT it turned out that my 1995 PCM pulled out toward the engine compartment. Had to lossen the inner finder liner, and it slides right out.

Yep! Don't know what the other guy was talking about, maybe the older trucks are different?
1991 and older trucks the PCM is removed from the inside. 1992 and newer come out the engine side of the firewall.
I'll be danged, I did not know that. Sorry for the bad advise, my experience has indeed always been with 91s and older. I wonder why they would find the need to change something like that?
