PCM Removal

PCM Removal
So I'm going to jump in for the DP Tuner. Trying to get the PCM info for Jody, and I always thought I was reasonably competent mechanically but I cannot get that sucka out for nuthin.
Per AllData, the connector/bolt comes off at the firewall, then in the cab by the e-brake the 2 screws holding the cover come out and the screw holding the bracket comes out. Fine & dandy, it's all loose but I just cannot get the module out! It appear that there's a "tab" on the back on the plastic cover, but even prying that doesnt seem to help. AllData just says "remove the cover, remove the module".
Is there some trick here I'm missing?
btw, I got the numbers engraved on the connector - but it doesnt sync with what Jody shows on his site for PCM info, so I dont think what I have is correct.
Any help appreciated!

When you are ready to pull it I have found you have to push the PCM up slightly and to the passenger side then pull. It does have a plastic tab that you have to get by to pull it. Give me a call if you need help. Its that way the first time for all of us.

This a personal preference of mine....
I like to do two things to the plastic PCM cover while it's out.
1. Grind off the stupid tab that is holding you up at the moment.
2. Cut a hole in the cover where the J3 port is at so that if I need to remove a chip, it's a 5-second ordeal.
