Good Morning Jim,Dennis, Cory, Jim, Dave, Troy and everyone else!
My problem with the trim is that it is obvious and I am **** about it. It gets me into alot of trouble trying to make things the way I think they should look or make them match.
Good morning Michael! Hopefully you can get them to match.

Evening everyone. Just got done reinstalling the second door. I have one more in the garage drying. That one has two coats of poly. I think it's going to need a third coat. It will after I get done picking the stupid bugs off of it.
The other two look great. They actually match the casing. I was trying to match the moulding. The moulding is off color because it was CHEAP. 99 cents per 8 ft after rebate. Now I have a problem. The moulding is too light and the doors match the casing perfectly. I might have to break down and buy the right moulding.
Time for bed soon. Night all!
Howdy Guys
You can match the molding a little better since it is lighter, by shading.Shading is the process by putting color (stain) in your urethane, but volume is important, you can't go overboard, or you will not have adhesion to that coat, also make sure your not using a water-born urethane and your say putting minwax in which is an oil, watch your capability to each product, no more then 2oz stain to a quart of urethane!
If you need it darker, application, put another coat, don't add more stain.
Hope that helps!
PS. always clear coat at final!

Have a great time fishing, Jay
That is great information!! Thanks! I am using MinWax poly urethane, not water based. The molding is just laminate over particle board, but this trick sounds like it should work. I'll try it. I've got enough to try this with.
