Hey guys.

I like both those trucks Brian.

Got both lawns mowed and a couple errands run. Kinda warm out there with my riding gear and a back pack on.

I Figure no matter what i put it in the frame and suspension will be beefed up a lot and ill be using the super duty axles for sure. money and parts i can get. Time on the other hand is very short on supply.

I was going to put it in my buddies 46 but the engine bay on the 50's is bigger and besides theres like 3 or 4 40s fords in my town already......

I think this is going to be my winter project this year as im probably selling my sled and therefore will have time for this project and more money for my 02

Michael, I wouldn't be surprised if the return runs for your furnace are inadequate. Have a HVAC guy come out and make sure everything is sized properly.

You can't just add more registers without adding returns.

Good evening guys.

Just in from the shop and cleaned up, got the box section on Dave's truck tonight. Needs a little adjustment to fit right but there is no more gap.

A friend of mine put an IDI 7.3 in a 63 unibody. I have yet to see it in person but have seen a few pictures of it.

I'm not looking to add more registers. There are two 18" registers ineach of the upstairs bedrooms with one cold air return in each.

I'm looking to get the hot air out. There are no roof vents other than on the ends of the house and a broken power vent. I'm probably going to start by fixing the broken power vent. I might need to seal off the ends and open up the soffets to prevent a short circuited air flow. Ice dams are also a problem in the winter. I'm hoping that by insulating and getting the hot air out, this will help that problem as well.

If that doesn't work, I'm looking at a whole house fan as well to pull the air through the house. My parents had one in CO. It was very effective. It won't take care of humidity, but it will at least reduce the load on the air conditioner.

I did change the filter tonight. It was definitely due. Air flow is definitely increased. We'll see if it makes any difference upstairs.

Time for bed. Night all!
