Says the guy who doesn't post anything all weekend...

Then when we got back we took the boat to test it out but didn't get it off the trailer. After I backed it in I thought I heard something and looked in back and there was water running in like crazy. Turns out the rubber boot where the shift cable goes through was cracked and tore letting water in. Cheap enough fix and shouldn't be too hard I don't think to replace. So that part will be here tomorrow. Still went to the lake yesterday and just hung out and then did some landscaping last night at home when we got back home.
You just cannot catch a break on that boat so far.

I would say I was lucky considering I found the leak at the landing and not in the middle of the lake! The boat might be on the bottom right now! I don't think the bilge would have kept up as fast as it was coming in.

That's stretching a bit looking for a silver lining. LOL Just like me with the motorcycle cover I cracked. When I took it apart I remembered I hadn't tightened the clutch bolts.

You would have been fine. Just take off and the speed through the water would create a trough and keep the water away. Just trouble when you get ready to load it

Pfft, who cares if it takes on water when it is already on the trailer.
Just circle the lake while Beth backs the trailer in the water and then load it at WOT. Nothing can go wrong there.
Afternoon everyone! Got to work about 830, finished going through my emails then got sucked into meetings since. Vacation was not nearly long enough. I need to get away again.
Weekend was busy but very productive. I got the three basement doors stained and one coat of varnish on one side. I need to sand and do another coat tonight. I was going to last night but I was too tired after going to the grocery store.

I see nothing out of the ordinary with this. Put it in Troy and let her rip. Beth will just have to jump in and out while you race by the dock. Enough alcohol ought to give her the confidence. What can happen?

I am in full support of doing this as long as there is a video camera (or 3) with in close proximity.
