Thank you for the time and effort, AX-man.
My son is reading it after school and we'll be practicing within a couple of weeks.
Right now, inspection-required work takes priority.
Great thread Ax, how do I give you more tiny green squares?
I grew up on the farm and the only welding education I had was watching and helping my dad but this is the academic parts that I was missing in my welding experience. Very informative.
Mervy,
To give a poster rep points: In the right end of the dark blue bar at the top of their post you'll see the post # xxx (permalink) Then 2 icons in circles. click on the first icon, a red heart with a tiny green plus to add to the poster's rep.
i haven't been around this site but only about a week and i can already see that you are certainly a plus. i will be following your welding expose' with the wide eyed look of a young child so, i guess WE are the kids you never had. thank you.
Very nicely done, thank you for passing on to us what must of taken you a lifetime to learn. I find it easier to follow than any of the welding books that I have bought, and tried to read.
I printed the lessons so I would have access to the material out in my shop. Just the 9 lessons without additional postings came to over 30 pages. Great info, Ax. It won't let me rep you anymore but I continue to be grateful for the work you have shared with us all.
i, also would like a printed copy of your welding toot. if it weren't for my computer ignorance i could refer to it on line but not in this lifetime. it takes me longer to log in than read a chapter. so, how would i go about it. AND if i'm asking too much, just blow me off like you did with.....nevermind! truly i do want a copy

I made a PDF file from all the Lessons posts. I could send that to your email if it's OK with Chuck. It's his work, and I don't want to step on toes.
I printed it out and reread the whole thing. I think it's worth having a printed copy on hand.
