You're not wrong. But I've stuck the 3 on mine to the back on the number plate protectors to save drilling holes in my personal plates. Looks the same, have done it that way for years and no one has ever picked it.
I've also noticed that the number plates don't always register when going through the scan on toll ways. The diamonds fill up a fair amount of the spare space so it must jumble up the scanner a bit.
Looks good mate, post a couple pics of the whole thing
Here's some pics of the rough old girl. The bent bonnet was my fault, didn't lock it down properly and it popped up just as I took off, bent the frame and quickly ruined a perfectly good, rust free bonnet.
Is it that you are disappointed with the SPI product? Or is it that you just can't get it in a timely and inexpensive fashion?
Also, I have put my truck project on hold for a while. I am hoping to get back on it in spring of 2014.
Definitely not disappointed. I haven't used any as yet though as I had epoxy and 2K high fill shipped over last year for my Mustang. The customer service from Andy and Barry is the best I've ever experienced with any company, I have no doubts about the product.
The reason for not using it is it cost me from memory, nearly as much as the paint itself to ship it and it took about 3 months to get here through my importer. I knew I'd be painting the truck around the end of this year, after our winter, so I tried earlier in the year to get more of what I already had plus the new single stage black. I just didn't have the funds at the time and when I did, I didn't have the time to wait for it to arrive.
I'm bummed about it as I wanted to use painting the track as a learning curve with both SPI and the Iwata LPH400 so there was no guess work when it came to pulling the trigger on my Mustang.
Ash, wouldnt it be better to spend your coin on getting your heads (valve seats) modded so you just run Gas. Not trying to put you off , but how much is it going to cost to get your LPG/Fuel set up working properly. Apposed to the head work.
I have used a Moreys oil injector/dripper for my 74 302 Ftruck for years. It has a plastic bottle mounted to inner guard and an adjustable dripper that feeds to carby.to provide upper cylinder lubrication. Re fill with 1 litre bottles from auto parts store, still available I believe.
