Yesterdays tests started on a cold truck in the AM, ambient temps 55degrees, and pulling a 7000 ld. trailer, except for the WOT runs, trailer was then off. ECT 198/EOT 205 at 70 mph. Those were yesterdays numbers and conditions/ Todays numbers and conditions different were 2500 RPM hi idle, all taken after truck was up to operating temps, and posted todays numbers below right after the / so you can compare.
Things look better today numbers Todays #s were on right side of the / if I understand correctly
So many numbers going almost confusing LOL
You can throw out all the numbers taken while truck cold or when pullen a trailer or while driving theres too many varibles with those and results can widely differ. Thats why I asked for specific conditions ie.. Truck in park with ECT 190* at the diffrent idels Low ,High and KOEO all those conditions are a constant
Now if truck wouldnt start that would be a different story you take what values you can at that point. So there are a few exceptions to the rule depending on conditions but if you can take values the way mentioned above they will be the Most accurite for shure.
But for most part they look good. Is your Battery light on dash coming on at all??
Well glad they are looking good, no battery light either, truck is actually running real good, so my plan is to do the usual longevity stuff mid to late summer, but at least for now I'm OK, I guess the wrench light was a soft code that went away, so far so good, thanks Benny.
Had the wrench light come on again twice towing a trailer, pulled over, , restart the truck, no light truck is fine, one of you guys mentioned the delta throwing the light, but I did the hit 15-16 once or twice, very rarely happens, and only for a minute or so, most of the time I'm 5-10 delta, but when it did hit 15 no wrench light. Does anyone know if a max oil temp throws the light, I hit 220 EOT a few times, wondering if that could do it.
