The SES light decided to come on during a recent road trip. I was towing my travel trailer up a long grade at the time. The truck seems to run fine but I would like to know what the code is and clear it out. Can anybody help me out? I'm about 30 minutes east of Denver but can drive into the Denver metro or a little further if necessary.
Try Autozoo and see if they can help you. I have Auto X-ray and it can read and clear codes but not much more. Reading codes is a good place to start. Without it, we can sit and guess all day long.
There are several members in the Denver Metro area. The only one I know of for sure is Pocket. he lives out in Parker. There is one other member out there too plus one in Centennial. Send Pocket a PM.
My tuck was tuned with a Hypertech tuner by the previous owner. I have no idea what level it is set at. In reading the Hypertech manual, it will detect and display codes, or what it is calling "DTC's". If hook up the tuner I wonder if it will display the codes that were set? Do I have to return to stock tune before updating or will the codes set mess something up in trying to return to stock? Sorry for all of the questions, the Hypertech website was not very helpful.

If the Hyperjunk tuner is working, AFAIK, it should reveal the codes. You should NOT have to return it to stock tune.

Thanks - I will hook it up this afternoon and see what happens. Any idea if the tuner will tell me what the code is in a recognizable format so I know what happened?

I'm south of Bennett - only 30 minutes from Parker. If I can't figure it out with my tuner I will drop you a message. Thanks for the offer to help!
