Morning Nevada!

Well we're on the last morning of our vacation down here on Marco Island Florida...

We've had an incredible week!...this morning is the FIRST morning since last Wednesday that the sun is not shining while I'm on the balcony...good day to leave I guess!...LOL...

We'll be heading to the airport in a few hours...gotta roust the kiddo's to pack up our stuff.

Hope everyone has a great Holy Thursday...mine will be spent traveling!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday! Well, I went and put in my two apps at the security guard places and both said they should call me for interviews by early next week. At least it might be something.

Anyone else have anything good going on? The wife and I are attending Viva Las Vegas 15 this weekend. Just the car show, but she loves old style pinup photography and that's basically what the models look like at this thing, along with old 30's-50's cars too. It's pretty cool. I hope it doesn't get super hot though, like it did last year.

Have a Thankful Thursday! What are you thankful for this Easter Season?

I thankful that Jesus giving his life for us, my family & friends, our new house, food on the table & vehicles to drive.
I'll be even more thankful when I've gone through all of the boxes & tossed half of the junk away!

Yesterday I spent most of the morning doing laundry & cleaning. The rest of the afternoon I was enjoying the sun while I was walking half hunched over with a magnetic stick thingy , picking up any nails, screws, wire, etc. that was in my horse's future corral. By the time I was done, I was so tired & sore! I would've giving anything for a jacuzzi lastnight! It wasn't until later that Jimmy told me that the magnetic stick extended. I felt like an idiot & was upset with myself for not noticing it all these years. I could've saved myself alot of backaches in the past had I known that! Oh well...lesson learned! (the hard way)

Hi Donna, hi guys!

Went to see our prospective new pup this morning. She is a cute little Papillion/Fox Terrier mix. She is six years old, well trained and has a great personality. Romeo met her but he is five times her weight so she was slightly intimidated. But not badly, she didn't run away, just backed up a little. Good manners. She is tan in color, similar to Romeo.

I wanted a small female as a companion for him. (They are both fixed.) I think this is going to work well. We will pick her up next week.

Donna - I think you sent your winds down here! I was riding back from my folks after doing my "traffic school" online there (you have to use a Windows PC and we only have Macs here in the house. LOL) and I was all over the place on my bike! LOL

Well, one of the positions I applied for with the County (Office Specialist), I got turned down for today. However, a couple of hours after that I got another email from the County stating to call this other phone number to set up an interview and it was for the exact same position name (Office Specialist). I'm like WTF?! I just didn't get it. I thought maybe they screwed up and sent me the email by mistake. But it was a different person to call than the first one I applied for, so I called. I found out it was a different department within the county, even though the position was called the same. LOL So, apparently, I didn't make the job with the Coroner's Office, but they forwarded my info over to the Family Services office and had them contact me for an interview with them. Cool. So, I have that interview on the 16th. Maybe I'll have better luck there.

Anyway, just think...tomorrow is Friday folks!!!!! Woooohooooo!

 

G'day to my FTE buds !!! It was very mmmm, interesting laying on the dirt driveway doing an the oil and filter change in a Nevada wind storm and the worse part was running out of grease with only 2 of 8 fittings done. After my return from Autozone the wind ... picked up a bit more ... at last done !!!
I would like to say thanks to another FTE member "Zebrafive" from Three Rivers Mi. I put out a request about 3 weeks ago, for a replacement "tilt" column for my truck (in Sig.) . We "talked" ... he sent me a pic, we agreed on a price and I got it today. IMHO Robert is a great guy to deal with, and I would be glad to return the favor ANY TIME he needs help !!! ... The column looks and works like new !!! Installation next weekend ... Nevada will be safe then LOL !!!
