fuel pump?

I have a 351 cleveland in my truck and whenever i let it idle or hold the clutch at a light the engine will quit. It idles for about 30 seconds then quits so t dosnt quit right away. I thought maybe fuel filters but i replaced them and it is not better. I only have this problem at idleing when i am going driving it runs perfect. I was wondering if it could be the fuel pump because it is operated by the engine. If anyone has thoughts please let me know. Thanks.

Sounds more carb related than fuel pump. What's your idle speed? Have you tried adjusting the idle mixture?

There are separate circuits in the carb., one is the "high speed" circuit and the other is the "idle" circuit.
Cruising down the road you're running on the high speed circuit. That one can be working fine, no problems. When your idling, you are running on a different part of the carb. Could be a problem in that circuit.
Check your idle speed and adjust the idle mixture.

Read up. The better you know your carb, the easier it is to work on

When a pump is getting weak you will notice it when you put a load on it, like when your going up a steep grade. If you suspect it, put a psi gauge on it and see what it's putting out.
