7 degree angle on steering column (to the left). Normal?
The steering column in my truck, 76 F150 2WD, is pitched to the left by 7 degrees. Is this normal? I'm a tall guy and if it was coming "straight" back it would give my left knee just enough room to be comfortable.
I also have a hairline crack in the frame where the steering gear box bolts on (discussed previously in a different post). Are either of these things related to the other?

we had a 73 that was that way.... it might be normal we never did mess with it. my 76 and 74 are neither one like that. the two bolts right under the dash wouldnt allow for much movment at all, especially since that cover screws/snaps on pretty snugly, but if you loosen those, and the rubber boots where the column goes thru the floorboard/firewall and maybe even loosen up the "rag joint" out by the gearbox maybe you can coax the other end to the left therefore tweaking the wheel back to the right?
