They wanted 850 for the transmission. I offered 600. He said he usually sees them go for 700-850 with over 100k on them. I asked him if we could meet in the middle.
I am amazed at how you guys remember my name. I am working on learning names here and the sig lines help. I haven't figured out how to do a signature yet. Someday.
I've had it less than 2 weeks and haven't used it for anything other that driving to work, but so far I like it. Wind it up and it reminds me of my Mustang a little bit. I came from a non-intercooled 7.3, so this motor is pretty comparable. Up on HP by about 100, but down on torque by maybe 50-100#. The performance seems pretty close. I wish I could have found one with the 4.30s in it, but I think the 3.73s will do fine.
I did have it hiccup yesterday and I wasn't very pleased with that. I was making a right turn from one highway to another, when I stomped the loud pedal to merge the truck did NOTHING for a couple of seconds, like it was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I hope it's a fluke and won't happen again.
So far it beats the hell out of my '97, but with 15 years of technology I expected that.
Nice friendly place here. Maybe I'll find time for the GTG on Saturday. Although I have a ***** ton of stuff to get done in my own garage. I'll start on the brakes for my '00 CV tonight.
Good Morning FTE MN, hope the sun shines on you today, nice sunny day here.....
Good morning Gerry!

Hey Chris! Sounds like a decent deal if you get it for that.
