We are trying something different possibly this year using the Arizona house. So we are paying someone to figure out what would work to our benefit the best then we will start doing it ourselves again. They should be done this week. Normally we would have been done already.
I've been putting them off. Half busy / half sticking my head in the sand about it. I hate taxes. Mostly because we always got screwed with Self Employment for Katie.
It's been about 5 years since I did ours. Too many deductions and such for me to keep track of. Just as easy to pay someone to do them and write off the amount of preparing them the next year.
Well .. I think we've decided to replace the van and buy something decent for Katie if we can get a small loan ($2K). Then I'll drive the plastic pile around town until it either dies or I decide to attempt fixing it myself. We need the truck for camping.
Looking at Bonneville or Grand Prix at the moment. I had a 99 GP GT. Other than the transmission going on me twice and the intake gaskets failing three times (mechanic stupidity), it was a great car. We were dumb to sell it. Oh well ...
We've had a few GM cars, put almost 300K on the Corsica, and I've had a couple different Grand Am's. One died in a crash and the other just died, I suspect it lived a hard life before I got it. Never had many problems with any of them either.
Late night post by Jake! Slept in WAY late on my day off, and I'm not really tired. Kinda bummed you guys are planning a GTG this weekend. I'm home next weekend for Easter and then again on the 21st, but both those weekends are booked pretty solid. I've got class this weekend. Woohoo. I'll make it to one of the GtG's sooner or later I guess. Ok, I gotta shut my eyes for a few hours here tonight.
It's hump day today and all down hill from here. I hear that the wind has dies down FINALLY. Between that and Alissa up fussing all night = NO SLEEP. I think she is getting sick again. She just got over a cold, she goes to daycare for a few days and BAM, another cold. Well hopefully kids arn't sick this weekend or I might be stuck at home!

We pay someone to do ours also. Too many changes every year. Didn't know the cost could be written off the following year though
