I'm going to be replacing my brake lines soon but I'm not sure what size the lines and fittings are. I want to get the parts ordered soon. If anybody can let me know what the sizes are I would really appreciate it.
All your brake lines are 3/16, the fittings are just standard 3/8. You can get all your lines at a local parts store, they can order new soft lines if they dont have them in stock. I bought all mine from Advance Auto they had most in stock, if they didnt it was there the next day.
Word of caution, Ford uses some non-standard fittings at the master cylinder and proportioning valve. You can either reuse the original fittings or get some adapter lines.
These are 6" long lines that have a standard fitting on one end that you can connect to the line using a coupler. The other end has the nonstandard fitting to connect to the master cyl. or proportioning valve.
Also, if you're making your own hard lines, be sure you double flare the ends.
In the picture of the proportioning valve you can see the lines on the right side of the valve have standard fittings, the line to the left is non-standard.
lol. I wish I had a local parts store. I live in one of 2 places in the continental united states that is part of the USA but is not connected in any way. I have to go through canada and back down to get to the states. I try not to buy parts in canada because the prices are crazy. Do you know what the non standard sizes are? I want to re-do all the hard lines with new fittings. I'll be getting braided stainless flex lines later on as well.
That sucks not having a parts store! Thats the way I went was stainless braided line. For the stainless flex line I used -4 fittings for the rear I did a rear disc brake conversion, for the front the parts store didnt have a fitting to fit the caliper so I got a fitting to use the stock banjo bolt. Im not sure on the size of fitting for the MC. You can get adapters to fit the MC and to the 3/8s fitting on the brake line. Hope that helps
Inline tube makes nice sets of pre-bent lines with all fittings. If you can get packages delivered at reasonable cost its worth taking a look. They are light and usually shipped in a long box. The longer lengths are shipped with a "shipping bend" to fit the box. Its easy to straighten them out on a concrete floor.

Anyone know where I can find the proportioning valve bracket in this picture? I can not find one anywhere online! The new lines I have ordered have changed the location from the top of the steering box to down on the crossmember. Any links or input would be great! Thanks
Update. I ended up getting the correct brake line and had to replace my combination valve to a Pv2T and it worked out great(the original was stuck and would not bleed to the rear). Just a heads up you will need a 7/16 male to 3/8 female brake line adapter for the front right brake line at the combination valve.
Classic Tube sells the correct 7/16"-24, 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18 inverted flare fittings for 3/16" brake tubing so, line fitting adapters are not needed with these direct-connection fittings. Part numbers ST8006, ST8007 and ST8010, respectively.

I would wire brush them and spray pb blaster in the back of the nut where the line goes in. I use some heat like a mini propane torch around the nut not the line. Go slow, easy turn in then out back and forth maybe tap the line with the wrench at the nut just to shock it a bit try to free it up.
