Brake Line sizes

Brake Line sizes
Went down to try and get the 89 F-250 4x4 started so I could bring it home after buying it for cheap and found out I need to replace the steel brake lines first. Was trying to reconnect a wire to the distributor and hit one of the steel brake lines going into the T fitting and it broke right off, I think mostly due from the rust. I am going to need to replace the steel brake lines but every place I look I need to know the diameter and length of every line. I am curious if anybody has a book that would tell me without having to take all these lines off first what size lines I am going to need. This would be for 1989 F-250 4x4 standard cab/ 8foot bed. Any help would be appreciated.

A guy on here said his 93 f350 had 3/16, I'm pretty sure all the models use 3/16, but if your not sure just bring the old brake line in to your auto parts store and match em up, if one line is rusty all of them should be checked so that doesnt happen again and you gotta bleed the brakes allover mise as well replace all the bad ones at the same time. Make sure you get the right coupler and fitting sizes. ford likes to use different lengths and sizes on the rear lines not sure about the front lines though. Hope this helps ya out.

I have ordered a full kit from inline tube through JBG. All Stainless steel lines for about 160 on an older truck. It had every hard line on the truck. Might be worth looking into if its that bad.

Yea all the lines are 3/16 but there a a few with a odd / over sized ends on there. You can get adapters if you need to. I have no idea on the lengths of all the lines.
Inline makes a nice kit. I have used them in the past. Most fit great. Had a few problems with master cylinder lines. Just sent them back and had them make new ones. Best bet might be to cut a couple lines off at a time and measure then up, replace and cut a few more ... until done. Unless you want to buy a roll and end kit.
