Brake lines
There are 2 lines to run from the prop. valve to the rear hose and in the middle there is supposed to be anther fitting,is this just a way to splice 2 lines together to avoid one long line or is there some fitting I am missing?
The lines I am using are from inline tube and are for an F-250 and this line was replaced before so I am not replacing a factory line.
Thanks for any help available.
P.S. these line sets are very nice, fit very well and come in stainless
FWIW FoMoCo has never used Spliced Brake lines in any of their assembly plant OEM situations. They have a written policy aginst it, or did in the 70's anyway. It's against protocol & instructions.
Dealers will hard splice brake lines, as will independent Service people.
Done correctly there's nothing wrong with it, thus hard splices are not uncommon because they're used alot in the aftermarket. Still Factory will not do it, they replace damaged lines with whole new one piece line 1st. It was simply their policy on that issue.

I can understand why the factory would not splice the line but since it had been replaced and the new lines came in 2 pieces that is what made me ask.
Thanks for your responses.
