PHP FICM Programming/ ECM Rollback

Who here has gone to PHP for this? IIRC bismic and npccpartsman maybe, anyone else?

I used my CTS to pull some info from the truck tonight; ECM is VXCF9H7, TCM is TQCK0HZ. It didn't pull anything on the FICM, but I read at PHP's site that if I have a VXCF9xx ECM calibration I'd have to buy an ECM rollback to benefit from a new FICM strategy anyways.

Three questions:

1) people who have done it, did you actually see any changes? I found out about this when I was complaining about my crappy MPGs, the PHP guy says he can get a 1-3 bump with his rollback and new strategy, but every programming company says that. Anyone here see real changes from this?

2) Any other benefits to this? An active EPB sensor vs inferred EPB in the ECM programming, being able to choose inductive heating or not, etc?

3) What changes with the TCM calibration when he rolls the ECM back?

The PHP tune FICM has eliminated some turbo lag for me. Not sure about any power increase - maybe a little. Didn't really notice any fuel economy increase. Glad I did it, but not sure the $$'s were all together worth it.

I have not tried the ECM roll-back.

The 2007 uses the EBP sensor - not an inferred value.

As with any tuning it's subjective, but I did notice a bump in my MPG's, even with winter fuel. I know that Bill did quite a bit of dyno time on the VXCF9 strategy and found the VXCF4 to be quite a bit better to tune for performance and MPG's. The trans. calibration really doesn't change, but Bill has an awesome shifting trans. file that he's worked on for quite a while. It's the best I've ever driven.

I did the PHP FICM tune.
It made a nice improvement in the feel of the truck and I have seen about a 1-2mpg increase.
When I only get about 11-12mpg in was a nice jump.

His page mentioned the inductive heating strategy only by saying you can choose to have the latest Ford version or not have it at all. I've the first version of this strategy was really hard on the FICM, but that the new version isn't so bad? I'd probably opt to have it... unless any of ya'll have any advice to the contrary.

Thanks for everything so far guys

If you have the VXCF9 PCM strategy then you have the latest FICM flash, I believe.

I have it now, but it's an option to choose or not choose on the FICM reprogramming/paired with a PCM rollback. Since I have the VXCF9xx his site says I have to change both to see the most benefits, so I think I have to decide to have him keep the inductive heating or not?

I haven't done his order form yet, but on his forum it says it'll come up on the order form or when I actually get his remote programmer. I'm trying to get as much info as I can before I call him and sound like a newb.

I was lucky. PHP is right up the road for me. I did the ECM rollback and FICM tune. The truck is a more responsive with the EGR deleted from the program. Bill is knowledgeable, and I was pleased with his service.
