After hearing of Rick's (miller_feed) recent live tuning after the BTS trans install, I asked Jody to update my tunes, for my F6 chip, to his latest programming. Boy, What a difference! I immediately noticed a difference in the idle and the sound of the engine. It was running "pretty good" before and I was waiting for live tuning at RRE 2010 to get it tweaked. Single shot injectors are known to give a rougher idle, but now it feels so much smoother in all the tunes. You can still notice the slight "chop" in the exhaust note, but the rhythm is smooth. When the trans downshifts, from OD to 3rd, it is smoother. With my trans mods, it was a more abrupt feel before and this is what Rick was concerned with after his BTS install. All in all, the only word I can describe the updates is "smooth" (Have I reached my limit for the use of that word?..lol). I can't wait to try out all my tunes , but I do feel there will be a noticable improvement across the board. I am still going to have the live tuning done to get Big Red at 110% after I do my fuel supply mods, but am glad I asked for the new updates. Those who have the older versions of the DP tunes, all I can say is "Update". You won't be disappointed. If you don't have the F6 like I do, you may want to consider live tuning when you get the chance. Jody is constantly working to make a "great product even better" and you don't want to miss out on his latest programming.
There was no charge because I didn't have any new mods that required custom tuning. He just emailed the F6 tunes and I loaded them. It took a few days to get them, but it was worth the wait. It takes time to rewrite them with the changes since my tunes were not just standard tunes because of my current mods and live tuning. Everyone's truck is a bit different and responds differently to some changes.
I just put a Wicked Wheel, HPX, and about to drop in the FRx.
My tunes are only a year old, do these upgrades require and update and have the tunes changed significantly in a year?

I believe the updates are pretty current. Rick just had his done last month and it was the first I had heard of anything new. Also, I don't think those mods would affect the need for tuning changes that much, but a little tweaking wouldn't hurt. Just send Jody an email/call and he will be able to answer that.
I just got live tuned by Jody last Friday at RRW. Like having a whole new truck. Idles just as smooth if not smoother then it did with the split shots. And the power, well it is difficult to describe.
Jokingly I asked Jody how long it would be before my new tunes would be outdated and he said "About a few minutes after I get on the plane". So he is constantly working on updating tunes. If you have year old tunes it would be beneficial to update.
My live tuning is a bit over a year old now, I wonder if it is something that can be updated. I mean can he "update" live tuning? I don't have the F6, maybe he can update me at RRE.
might be a stupid question, but is there any way to tell when the tunes were updated? I have a F5, but it came with the used truck and I have no idea how old the tunes on it are. Would love to get it updated, but not sure if I want to stay with the f5 or whether I want to upgrade to the f6......anyone know if they are still doing the upgrade deal?

I would like to know as well. I was lived tuned at last years RRE and would like to know as well. I am sure they will be on soon to clarify.
