That is good to hear. Yet another option to the wide array of options we have available for our headlights.

There IS a color difference between 35w and 55w.

I love the 55w 6k's I have on my bike, slight blue when they are cold, but they are just white and extremely (white) bright during use. No noticeable yellow or blue. Hoping the DDM kit works the same.

If the difference is anything like it was with my bike, it will be drastic.
Well, I got the HIDs installed, and let me just say, HUGE difference! Leaps and bounds better! The pics don't even do it justice.

Only thing I will note... The fogs (35w, anyway) were a waste of money. The 55w hi/low HIDs are so bright.... the fogs don't really make any difference.

Since we don't have a "dedicated" HID vendor here (to my knowledge) I always recommend Retro-Solutions HID's.

They have excellent customer service and an even better product, based on what I've read on the different forums.

I have a Retro-Solutions HID setup sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

I believe "vendor" status is a bit to expensive for a guy just selling HID kits or light bulbs. At least last time I checked it was more to be a "vendor" than what I pay for health insurance every month.

*RANT*
That is why I don't have health insurance, it is cheaper to just pay for medical out of pocket

+1..

All the HIDs on my X are from Todd at Retro. Not the cheapest, but excellent quality and service.

If you decide to order from retro-solutions, do a quick google search for a discount code to save 10-15%

I ordered 55w 5K fogs and headlights last night.

Thanks for posting these pics! After having factory HID's on my last 2 vehicles I found the lights on my Excursion to be quite disappointing.

I went with the 55w fogs and HL after reading your review. I figured this route was easier, cleaner, and cheaper than adding aux lights on a bull bar or roof rack.
