Just last night I rode in a 2011 car with projectors and a perfect cut off. I noticed exactly what I posted before, the cutoff going above other cars roofs all the time while going over bumps, can't see anything above the cutoff like pedestrians, and signs in the median or above the road are not lit up at all so good luck reading those.

But the hid's did light up everything nice where they were shining.

Personally I find the perfect cutoff annoying.

If that really was a legitimate issue, automakers would not be using them. Even Volvo utilizes projectors and they are arguably one of if not the most safety oriented automakers. If they are good enough for the automakers, they are good enough for me. It is your opinion though

I understand that, its a personal thing. Have you rode in vehicles with projectors much? I think you have the experience them in many different situations to understand what I am talking about.

I'll be another to agree on the fact the cutoff is not"optimal" for me.
The vehicles I have driven with the projectors have seemed to work well in city driving to keep the lights down on the road.
Living in deer country however, I like the spread. Bouncing around on the back roads, I find myself focusing on the cutoff and what may be above it.

90/110w Hellas in the 02-03 housings have a pretty solid cutoff, but have a pattern which is far easier for me to deal with. Same light output as a HID, and far cheaper.

Talking I ordered some projectors yesterday

I just ordered these

EXCURSION CCFL HALO PROJECTOR BLK LED HEAD LIGHTS

I am not that worried about the cutoff. The 8" lift kit is going on my truck today... I love the look, I made a mock up of what a similar product will sort of look like on a similar excursion with a similar lift...

I was going to wait on the head light change, but when I got my truck inspected the other day they noticed that the housing of the right headlight was cracked and in pretty bad shape.

I'll let you guys know how they work out.

for sure!

The price was right, every other place on the net wants $250-$300+ for those dual CCFL projectors

I got the black instead of chrome because I plan to get a lot more black on the truck, bumper and maybe grille and or brush guard.

I like Halo's, actually thought about adding them to the Challenger. Only problem is you have to crack the headlights open to install them and they are not cheap if you mess em up. Not to mention you have to put them in the oven to loosen the glue!

I got a set of recon projectors for my Ex, they are the 2008 style for my front end conversion and I will be installing the HID kit into them. Should be interesting to see what type of difference in light and cutoff will be.

I'd love to do the '08 conversion.

I figure I'd just need the stock fenders, I could go aftermarket everything else... grille, bumper, lights, hood.

Am I missing something?
would the cladding fit.

Sorry to hijack my bad.

I sent you a PM with a parts list I have compiled for the 08 conversion.

What HID kit are you going with? Be sure to take some before and after night shots too.
