I totally disagree with you on this one. I just upgraded from normal bright LEDs to their super bright ones and there are still no hot spots, the color is beautiful, looks like stock but much brighter. Two orders from them, have had a single bulb go bad (maybe 20 bulbs total?), anyone who sees my cluster comments on the brightness and how good it looks. They have bulbs that give up to 360 degrees of even light output, or down to a 20 degree spot light, all the numbers are listed.
not affiliated with them at all, but when I find a product I like I stand by it
They may have gotten better but I swore off them about three years ago. But I'm a professional in the lighting industry so I am pretty picky about lighting. LED technology is so far past what Superbright even carries in their inventory, that I don't even bother looking that often.
When I bought, maybe a year ago? I got some 160 degree LEDs for like $4 a bulb man, pretty good deal. Paid a couple more for these new high powered ones, man are they fricken bright and with absolutely no hotspotting! The only thing is, on my old ones I could get a more cool blue lighting, with these I get straight white (color temps are weird with cars, ya'll call something that's 14k an 8k and so-on, but these guys are dead-on with their color temps) so they're more green like original, maybe a tad less, but still look amazing. Far less bleeding than I thought as well!
I'm not a professional in the industry but a lot of my hobbies carry over into lighting. LEDs as a light source are a bit new to me though and I've only ever used them for night-time lighting in my aquariums and for indicators and some lighting with electronics, but nothing this strict in regards to beam pattern and light output.
These are whats in there now.. they're absolutely amazing. These are polarized and I thought that would make them a pain to install but for some reason they all worked on first go. I can say without a doubt, these fit, they look great, they work great in a Bronco or F150's dash..
The lockbox is probably the best thing i have done to date when we go kayaking the top is removed and rather than taking valuables
ie phones money we lock them in the bronco and enjoy our time on the rivers lakes with lots of beer and not a worry in the world.....except DNR lol if youre familiar with them.. i wish i could I
upload photos i would start a build thread i have done alot to tge " big bitch" as she has so graciously been dubbed
I wish i had a center console for a locking box. I have a $3 cup holder deal from Walmart that i cut a piece off to fit in between the shifter and seat on my ranger. Now it sits in the middle of my bench in TGM, i need a better place for it.
