96 Explorer

I have a 96 explorer that will stutter going uphill @ 1500 rpm. Kick it a little and it goes away. Has 125k and the tranny was just overhauled..
Any ideas??

When was the last time a tune up was performed? It could be a misfire due to worn spark plugs or wires, it could be a restricted fuel injector, could be weak fuel pressure (restricted fuel filter), etc. If it's been awhile, I'd start with a tune up.

Thanks, I just picked up plugs.. My wife just got the car and these are real miles. The car has the origial wires and I would assume the same plugs. I will start here and work on.. Thanks
