Ordered my Intercooler! quick question...

Ordered a 6.0 intercooler off of ebay. The guy had a few for sale, and had a good customer rating so I took the chance and went for it. Spent more than i wanted to $200. But, only 1 has been on craigslist in the last few months in my area and it was mashed up. I have 14 days to refund it and i want to pressure test it. Any ideas on a setup to pressure test it?

Go to a farm supply house and get two rubber end caps. Put a air valve in one end and blow it up. Check with soapy water for bubbles.

I know which one you're talking about, I've been eyeing them as well. Can't seem to find the $100 intercoolers like a lot of guys talk about. Guess I'll just keep searchin.

6.0 ones are a little bigger thus cool a little better. 7.3 ones are just fine, hell of an upgrade over nothing for sure.

X2, the 6.0's are bigger and make about a 50 degree difference. A 7.3 fits and works great as well.

The smaller 7.3 coolers allow a little higher boost pressure than the larger 6.0 but when you're looking at the cooler, more dense air with the 6.0 cooler it evens out I imagine.

Im pretty sure that if the intercooler comes with the mounting tabs your good to go but if its missing them you need to make them. Someone want to confirm that?

You still need to fab up mounts for the IC, and no everything doesn't fit perfect. You need to fab mounts, pipes (unless you find some already for the obs), etc.

Thanks. For the pipes im waiting for the kit from the guy on PSN. I talked to him last week, theyre almost available, finalizing production stuff. Comes with EVERYTHING except the intercooler. He said absolutely everything so i assume this includes mounts...but if not ill just make them
