I have read where someone said he though that in 2003 the 6.0l intercoolers were all aluminum like the 7.3 ones. Is this true? If it is I'm going to try to find a cheap one out of a junkyard.
Understand it is not a huge step up, but 600 plus for a intercooler is way to much. Aftermarket intercoolers are not worth the money they ask for them, because they do not help the truck out hardly any. The only way they are worth the money is if the truck is highly moded with a good size bigger turbo, and injectors. I was going to try to find a 2003 6.0 intercooler if it was all Alum for around 150 or less. Other than that it is really not worth the price. IMO

So you want to pay money to not gain anything over paying a bit more and gaining something?
If your not blowing the end tanks off of your current tank, an aluminum end tanked one will gain you nothing. I have pushed over 50psi thru a stock plastic tanked 6.0 IC.
There are MANY aluminumed tanked 7.3 IC's out there as well.
