Hi sorry for the easy question but I found a 2003 6.0 intercooler and was wondering if this was the better one for my 7.3? Also is 150.00 a good price?
Thanks
$150 is a good price for a used intercooler, if its in good and usable condition.
There are quite a few folks that have upgraded to the 6.0 intercooler on the 7.3. It does take some fabrication for the tubing, I'll see if I can find a thread on it somewhere for ya.
Thanks for the reply! Do the 6.0 intercoolers change between the years and is some years better? I would like to do this swap if it doesn't require a lot of fabrication. Thanks again.
Murph, I'm in Sheridan right now. and I've got a set of boots for you. I did the 6 liter intercooler swap last yr and decided to upgrade the boots this spring. the boots are yours for the freight or come on down and we'll do the swap here near the RV park.

USUALLY the stock 7.3L trans cooler lines are in the way. Unless you have a manual or have already swapped out the trans cooler, be prepared to battle those. I've heard of folks getting the 6.0L IC in there by tweaking the lines, but I'd be real nervous running it that way long term. You can look down in there where the trans cooler is pretty easily. TIGHT fit, if at all...
Murph, just got a call from my employer that I've got to relocate to Minot, ND. Like tomorrow. It may slow the shipping down a week or so. Hope it doesn't inconvenience you to much. but I WILL get them to you.

You could drop them off here in Glendive on your way to Minot. I go to Billings every day so I can get them over to him.
Thanks for the offer Paul, but I have to drop off some work stuff in Rapid City. But rumors are that before the summers over I maybe in Glendive. If so atleast we can share an adult beverage!
