I have a '77 F-250 2wd CS with the 400. When I start the truck in the morning, the starter turns the motor fine, however when the truck warms up, and is restarted, the starter barely turns the motor over. Is this problem normal, as I have talked to several owners with the same issue?
Does your truck have headers?
If it does, it could be heat soak. You'll need to shield the starter from the heat.
If not, it could be timing, the starter giving up the ghost, battery about to do the same or a bad ground. Make sure the battery cables are clean, tight and in good condition. Make sure the ground cable to the block.
