INJECTOR BUZZ TEST

Im trying to learn so bear with me. I have the AE software and ran the KOEO injector buzz test. It says it completed the test, but I didnt hear a single thing. I had the hood open but couldnt hear the injectors buzzing. I thought I should be able to hear them. Would you hear it no matter what year? I have an 06. Sorry if it is a stupid question, but Im trying to learn. No codes or CEL, just terrible cold performance.

Idk about other trucks, when my buddy did mine I could hear clicks.

did it pull your truck vin when you launched the software?

it definitely should be audible even in the cab with the doors shut and windows up. it does seem to draw alot of power so make sure you have good batteries or on a charger when doing the test, I did this test 4 times on a 7.3 and it killed the batteries

yes it pulls in the vin. But there is no sound in the cab or outside for that fact, other than the fule pump kicking on.

so you are selecting the koeo injector buzz from this menu screen? and let me ask a stupid question, your key is in the ignition and in the run position correct? other than that what kind of laptop are you running this on? if it is a newer model then the only thing i could think of is to uninstall it and reinstall the software or call the AE support to see if they have a solution

yep that is the exact test I am running KOEO injector buzz test. I am running it on a HP laptop its about a year old. everything else seems fine, just no results here on this test.

one of the first things it does is buzz all eight at once , then it goes in order 1-8 individually, but even if an injector is not even connected it will still give a faint sound, do you hear anyhting when you first put the key into the run position?
