Is there a tool to read the computer?

Well, the engine light came on and it being late Saturday........I was wondering if there is a tool that can be purchased (most likely) there can be. But is it worth it to just read the problem.

Most auto parts stores will scan your truck for free.

AutoEnginuity with the Ford bundle can read more codes than most auto parts stores generic OBD2 readers, but it will run you about $340. Not too bad when you consider that would get you just 3-4 code readings at a dealership.
