Bought an '08 Throwing a Code

After contemplating for a long time, I finally bought myself an '08 F250, but it came with a check engine light. It also gets very erratic gas mileage (ranges from 13.5-17 under the same highway driving conditions) and I catch a whiff of smoke once in awhile sitting in traffic. It's throwing P2031, P2032, and P2084 which indicates a very high temp reading (low voltage). It sounds like this is just a bad EGT sensor at Bank 1 Sensor 2. Does anyone know where this is located? I believe it's the one between CAT and DPF, but I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

EGT2 is the sensor
I'd take it in and have them do it...or call for an estimate. I bet it will break trying to get it out.

That is the one that is usually the problem. Did you look at the wiring to see if it was in order?

The wiring looks alright. Plug is in and tight, but I didn't really look too closely for frays or rubs in the harness. I'd rather it be the $55 sensor than having to track down a shorted wire.

I have a Minimaxx and DPF/Cat delete in the mail. Will the Minimaxx let me just delete the sensor?

I don't know enough about the mini to answer that. Best to check with them.

Replaced the sensor right after the cat, Check engine light didn't go out at first, but it did after a few starts.
