Goodmorning all,
Well it's Wednesday & the week is half over. It's a cold one outside, so bundle up! Listening to the news this morning, they're saying that we'll have snow next Sunday night. BLAH! YUCKY POO POO!
I'm so not looking forward to that, muchless having to stand outside in the snow doing the Polar Express. (I don't have snowboots either) Atleast it's supposed to come on the last day of the Polar Express Event.

They're waterproof for the most part! I'll just double up on socks. LOL!
OK Pat...if I gotta - I guess I'll go buy a pair of regular snowboots.

Good morning all...12 degrees here this morning...guess winter is here. I've been absent for a while...been hunting and playing with my new hunting rig...a 2012 Polaris Ranger XP...which gets towed around by the trusty Ford! Stay warm!

Good to see you back. Sounds like you've been pretty busy! Did you get anything good while out hunting? What were you hunting for? I bet your new Polaris is a blast.What fun.... I'm jealous!

Started out last August with an Antelope hunt...now it is Chukar! Best thing about it is the reunion with good friends...along with the good "eats" and the beer...in a Red Solo cup. HA!

I hope everyone is having a good day. The wife is already talking about repainting a couple of the rooms in the new rental house if they will allow us.
Oh my. LOL
Yes, it definitely takes a load off my mind to know where we are going now. At least now I know I can just start packing things and take it over there once we get the keys. Now if I can just get a job, I'll be rockin'. LOL
Well, I think I'm going to take my brother out to Valley of Fire today. Unfortunately he has fallen on hard times and his wife divorced him (without telling him until it was done...long story), so he moved out here with my folks Thanksgiving week. So, he has nothing and no way to get around (she sold everything on him just prior to the divorce). So, I feel bad that he is cooped up and can't really do anything. So, I think I'm going to pick him up today and take him out for a tour of Valley of Fire. Maybe that will cheer him up and get him out of the house.
That's my plans for today, anyway...

Hi gang!
I had to go to the Minden VA clinic this morning to have some blood drawn. You know the drill, no food or coffee prior to the blood being taken. They had some trouble doing it [first time for everything,] and afterward they looked at me and said "you'd better lie down for a while!" So I did. Went to sleep on a cot and they forgot about me for an hour or so. Haha! I liked it but they seemed worried. Funny stuff.

I put the studded tires on my Wrangler a few weeks ago.
Going up hwy 50 from the lake toward Carson City, I saw a bunch of cars off the right side of the road so I moved over to the left lane just before a curve to the left. The Jeep went into a slide, going about sixty, but I was easily able to control it. Just gave it some gas a steered out of it. That's when I realized all those cars and trucks had slid off the road and piled up against the bank. I'm thinking that I might have ended up there too if I had not had the studs on. Whew! Just some black ice.

I'm thankful for friends like you, that I have a roof over my head w/ utilities, gas in my car, & food on my table. Now if I could only find a job!
