Good evening everyone. I have another virus warning for you. Last night I was bored and searching for parts and ideas. One of the search results landed me with a virus named
Good deal, Monkey! You are doing way better than I would. LOL However, I think it's smart to get 3 and let her pick. LOL
Yup, definitely a green Christmas, however, I've been used to that since I've moved to the west coast back in 2001. I had enough snow the first 30 years of my life; I don't need any more. If I want snow, I know where the mountains are, so I can visit. LOL!!! But I admit, I wouldn't mind if it snowed for Christmas Day. I do miss that.
Well, the move is going...my brother and I got some more stuff moved yesterday, so that's good. The house is starting to look empty. I should be able to move the rest of the garage stuff today (minus the bike and tools), so that will really help. All I know is that I'm getting closer to my goal of only moving furniture on the actual move day (26th). Well, that and the dog, cat and car/truck/motorcycle. Think the wife would mind if I "accidentally" left the cat? (KIDDING!)
Bruce - That's about it. The bad thing is...I'm not being paid for all this "busyiness" that I'm doing. LOL If anything, it seems like I'm paying out to be this busy. LOL Well, I got to apply for a couple of more jobs here in Vegas this morning before starting more moving today, so we'll see what happens. One is a dispatcher with Henderson and the other is a Range Officer with the Clark County Gun Range. Now that would be fun! I'd really like to do that one. I'd enjoy helping people shoot all day and improve their shooting and show them the safe way to shoot. Not to mention, that I probably would be able to get to shoot either before or after the start/end of my day. Wooohooo!
Sounds great. Use really good ear protection. Prolonged exposure can do damage to your hearing that does not show up immediately. Hard to place a claim two years after the exposure.
Good morning Nevada! Made it past the hump. Mat...those both sound like good jobs, but i'll bet the RO job would be a lot more fun! Ammo could get expensive for me if I had that opportunity. I'll second the hearing protection...good luck. A chilly 6 degrees here this morning. Everyone ready for Christmas?

Thanks Bruce & Ken. I always wear good hearing protection, but that's always good info to put out there. I could get into trouble with the range officer position as well. I love to shoot, but just can't afford the ammo most times, so that position could get me into a heap of trouble. Wayyyy tempting. LOL
We'll see how it goes. I got my test scores back for the fire dispatch position...ehhhh...I did WAY worse on the practical than I thought I would. I don't know if they just scored way tougher than I thought or what. I'm really mad at myself for that. So, my combined score dropped me into Group 2 (under 90%), so I'm NOT happy with that. So, now I have to wait until after Jan 11th when the list gets certified and then they will start sending people to background. Maybe I'll get lucky and people will either get dropped in background or they did worse than me on the practical...we'll see.
Anyway, my wife left this morning for Nebraska. So, I'm sad. I guess I'll try and keep myself and my mind busy by packing up and moving the last of the little stuff that I can move today, tomorrow and Sunday and then I'll get the truck on Monday to move the furniture. That should be all that's left...besides the vehicles, of course.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
Uhhh....Kearney or around there abouts. I think that's it. LOL Visiting her son for the holidays. He stays out there for the school year and then stays with us during the summer. We were hoping to have moved to San Diego so that his next summer would be there, but who knows now.
