Donna - Congrats on the testing! I'm sure you'll do great!
I'll trade you...I'll send you the luck for the testing and you send me the luck on the rental for the house we saw today. LOL Fair enough?
I'm sorry to hear about all the wind you guys/gals are having up that a way. We had bad winds the last couple of days, but they have subsided today. It was still fairly cold and cloudy, but no real winds.
Well, we found and looked at a house today that seemed like it would work well for us and is in our price range (along with a month to month lease). So, we're turning in our application on Monday, so we're keeping our fingers crossed right now that everything goes through. I just worry about us being accepted because of me being on unemployment and not having a job.
However, on a brighter note, I found out that I passed my oral/written test with the City of Las Vegas for Fire Dispatcher with a 92 and that puts me in Group I. That is very good because they take their first selects from Group I. Now I'm supposed to be scheduled for my next practical test on the 19th. Hopefully I do just as well, if not better on that one.
Mat - that's great news! Congrats on passing the tests. Sounds like things might be looking up for us...huh? I have another interview next week for a medical receptionist as well.
Bruce - The job would take me to Carson City & that's it. (I hope) I really don't want to travel. LOL!

New pics from lastnights Polar Express are posted in my album. I found a picture of the Polar Express Steam Engine before it was put up for the winter too!
I hope things are looking up. We got everything we needed for our housing rental app, so now I just have to turn it in on Monday and go from there. Fingers crossed. I'm hoping the job thing works out for Donna and I as well. Double fingers crossed. LOL
Well, I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and it's a productive one for them!
Lastnight was super cold at the North Pole (like breathing in ice cubes). All the elf kids did an awesome job! We froze our buns off, but it was worth it to see all the lil kids peeking out of the train windows at Santa & his elves. Their excitement kinda makes you feel all warm & fuzzy inside...makes Christmas even better!
I'm sure it was cold up there. If it's cold here in Vegas, I know it has to be cold up in your neck of the woods! LOL
Well, we are trying to get our crap together here and focus on the move. We even put our nice solid wood table, chairs and hutch set up on Craigslist a few minutes ago. So, if any of you want it, let me know and I'll post up the link. LOL It just won't fit in the new place, so we decided to let it go.
Anyway, so far it's been a nice, but busy weekend. I'll have a lot going on this week because I'm going to start "REALLY" packing the house. If things work out with this place we are applying for and we get it, then I want to start moving stuff over there with my truck ASAP. This way it's less little crap and boxes to move the day we have to move the big stuff/furniture. My fat butt gets tired easily. LOL
How is everyone else doing on this fine Sunday? Any good news going on?
