AOD swap question
I've got an 86 F150 1/2 TON 4X2 with a 302 / AOD.
I found a 90 F150 1/2 ton 4x2 with a 300 6cyl 5 speed.
I'd like to swap my AOD for the 5 speed...
Besides the obvious (pedal / slave cyl etc) what issues should I expect?
Will the 90 model flywheel bolt up to my crank?
Does it matter which starter / drive shaft / tranny mounts I use?

I'm not sure about starters, but you will need a post-81 302 flywheel.
Until 81 they used a 28oz balance, 81-on was 50oz.
The 6cyl flywheel is a different balance to either of the 302 flywheels.
Also, the pedal bracket from 87-on, is different to the 80-86 version.
I think when the later one has been 'made' to fit, the result hasn't been very satisfactory.

Very important issue: You CANNOT swap flywheels or flexplates between a 300 and a 302. They will physically swap - they have the same hub size and bolt pattern. The 300 is internally balanced and has no counterweight on the flywheel/flexplate. The 302 is externally balanced and has a counterweight on the flywheel/flexplate.

I think he's talking about going from an AOD to the 5 speed so the TV cable isn't needed.
