engine swap
I want to pull 302 out of 1979 ford f150 2wd and replacing it with 300 6. The truck is automatic c4 my question is can I use same fly wheel and engine space plate and starter. The 6 cyl was mated to 4 sp with granny gear.Can anybody help?I also want to use same flywheel from 302.

The 302 will take a 28oz. or a 50oz. depending on what year it is. The 300 inline 6 uses a 0 oz. balance , wrong flywheel will make it shake enough to knock the bearings out in short time. They will bolt on but that does not mean it will work. 79 302 will be 28oz. balance.

I would call COLLISTRUCKPARTSONLINE in Northampton PA. They usually have the answers for these questions, and have anything truck related in stock. They ship. They are great guys, Ive been dealing with them for 25 years now. Ive built many a rig using thier used parts and knowledge. Guarantee theyve got your correct flywheel.

I'm not understanding your question. Are you wanting to put a 300 inline 6 up to a c/4 transmission ? If so we need to be talking about flex plates for automatic transmissions ,not flywheels for standard transmissions. I'v never had a 300 /6 in front of a c/4 so i don't know what it takes to do it . I just know on a standard you have to make sure you a using the correct flywheels or you will have problems. I will pass on giving anymore advice and leave it to others, sorry.

the one in the truckis stock as far as I know thats a C4 mated to 302.I want to put a 300 6cyl from another truck thats mated to a 4spd.and my question isi want to find one that has 0 bal?
