less than .80 volt points to a bad ICP sensor or a HPO leak
to determine a HPO leak you would take ICP and IPR% readings
Low ICP with a high IPR% reading would be a Leaker
a mechanical gauge would be used to check the ICP sensor itself to see if its giving a false reading
Some people try an air test of the HPO system to narrow it down to where its leaking
there was a vidio going on it not to long ago
hey Benny I remember you mentioning that if I had the wrong filter or cap for the oil that could cause a problem. If I am understanding what i have been reading the HPO system is supplied to the hpo after it goes through the oil filter. This just popped in my head because the filter Napa gave me had the wrong part number but they said it works on the 03s too I described what you had said to them and they assured me that they have sold hundreds of them to 03 owners with no problems. I am starting to think this is a bunch of bull. But it is the same part number as my old filter that I got from napa. I am starting to think the problem could be in the filter. I am going to take some measurements in the morning before I go buy the scanguage. what do you think?
Do yourself a favor and use an OEM filter. Frams are now OEM filters, but I notice that these aftermarket filers can change from time-to-time. No way to ensure that they don't switch manufacturers to save $$'s, or when patents run out, etc.

great Advice here^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I run motocraft filters all the way around so I dont have to worrey although I may go with Racor core fuel filters next time
A After Market filter has caused issues B4 Its all in the Height of the oil filter if it wont push the oil filter drain closed it BLEEDS off to much oil to the oil pan
I went and bought a motorcraft filter today but I have to wait and get the cap from ford tomorrow. The autoparts store dont stock the oem cap. I am not sure if I can use the caps I have.
I could not find a scanguage nobody around stocks them. I have to give reps to drivin2live for letting me borrow his scanguage Thanks a ton. If I am using this scanguage correctly I am getting a cvi of 4.99 v I think this is the ref voltage. The ipr is at 14.4 and icp at 149 not sure what this is telling me but ill start researching it. the IPR seems to stay constant while th icp jumps around. right when I turn the key on the icp is at 3593 then I crank it and it dives down to around 1000 on the second attempt it was at 134.
disreguard that lol I pulled a tard move and dident have my oil filter in all the way I just set it in there last night to keep dust and stuff out and never twisted it on. So the real readings are ipr 14.4 icp is at 3500 and after a few seconds of cranking it drops to 0. I poured about a quart of oil on the floor the first time through the oil filter housing if this tells us anything.
when I turn the key fully on without cranking it over my icp is 3500 am I turning the key to far? and yes my ipr holds solid at 14.4 the harness looked good
So I turn the key all the way forward to where I get the glow plug light right? I will go check it again really quick maybe im not using the scanguage correctly.

yes just like your going to start it
and remember the SG only updates so fast Hope sean has it set on faST Update
I usually watch volts or something when I see volts change I know the SG updated
here is what it is reading the one with 0 icp is while cranking and the other is when I turn the key on to the point where the glow plug indicator lights
