by updating you mean watching the icp drop to 0? when I turn the key on I can see the icp changing on the screen. Also you have it right I will go out again and leave the key on for a few minutes and see what I get. But when I start to crank it it goes to 0 fast.
I cant get the IPR to change from 14.4 it hasent changed since I plugged it in, I set the battery voltage on one of the tabs and watched it changed and the ipr stayed at 14.4
if I unplug the IPR and put my volt meter on the connector and get a reading while cranking will this tell us if the IPR is bad? or should I just pull it again?
Somethings definatly off IPR% never changed and it should have
when you went to crank it IPR should have skyrocketed BUT IT DIDNT IT NEVER CHANGED
to me it looks like a IPR/ICP wiring problem
At 14.4% IPR its just draining all the oil back to the oil pan and not making any HPO
I think your getting close atleast headed in the right direction
Is this linked to my FICM. I did the 3 test awhile back but Sean was saying there are some other tests that i can do with the scanguage to see if its working correctly any input on this?
I was more thinking about testing the wire to see if the IPR would be getting the voltage needed for it to close when the engine was cranking. Not testing the IPR. I will start tearing down again and looking at the harness again
