Cooper Tires

Does anyone have an opinion on Coopers new AT3 tire? I'm looking at them for a 77 F250 4X4. The trucks main use is towing horses. Most concerned about wet traction and if they have a habit of picking up small rock or gravel. I would probably go to a 285 75R/16 or 265. Thanks, Dan

i saw it at the summit truckfest a while back, they said it was there new tire i believe, and was a good lasting, performing tire for an suv/light truck.

Then again that's what the representatives of cooper tire SAID. Didn't get any facts from experience.

I just bought this tire today and put it on 31X10.5X15's...It rides well.. I drove it around town today and they do just fine. BUT it hasn't been in the dirt yet.

I am a Cooper fan. They make some excellent tires. Although i dont know anything about this tire, being from Cooper im sure its a quality tire. I swear by the STT's and that is all i would run if i can find a used set, or buy new ones. A friend of mine runs nothing but STC's on their ranch, has really good luck with them.

Thanks for all the help on the Cooper AT3’s. I had a set put on yesterday and although I haven’t worked them yet they look good on the truck and ride great on the road. Went with 265 75R 16’s for my ’77 F250 4X4 flat bed. I added a pic to my gallery, Grandpas Flatbed, if you care to see how they look.

I think you'll like them. I have run Coopers for years. Incidentally, Cooper also manufactures Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson tires.

I have a set of coopers on my 78, they are at least 10 years old. They are street tires and they suck for what I use the truck for. that will change soon. But they have been holding up so far, even with 2000 lbs on the bed.

I have a set of ATRs on a 4Runner and like them. I had ran STTs on my 03' Ranger until I tried a set of Nittos and all I can say is Im putting Coopers back on. I will stick with those from now on.

I've run Cooper ATR's, SST's, and STT's. I have a set of AT3's in the garage that are going on my work truck soon. I like the tread design better than the ATR's. But I don't have any experience with them yet. I like Coopers a lot.

My wife is a big Consumer Reports fan and today, while in the library, I opened their Buying Guide for 2012 and under the All_Terrain Truck tire the number one pick is the Cooper AT3. How's that for timing?
