Tire Choices Please help

So its come time for new rubber and Ive got it narrowed down to three choices and I am looking for some feedback on them before I make the big purchase tomorrow.

#1 Goodyear Duratrac. Love the looks and from what Ive heard it sounds like a great tire. It is expensive however and also does not carry a tread life guarantee or a road hazard guarantee.

#2 BFGoodrich All terrains. Dont know much about this tire other than the tire salesman highly recommended it and the sales price is close to the Duratrac's.

#3 Cooper Mastercraft At2. Had know clue about this tire until I went in tonight. Tire looks pretty sweet and also carries a 60,000 mile tread life guarantee and road hazard insurance. The tire is also 45 dollars cheaper than the others.

To be honest I was really set on the Duratrac but after I went in I dont really know what to do. Im looking for some honest feedback on these tires

Had the BFG All Terains ATs. Dont seem to be a good mudd tire. Or wet road tire. Got stuck really easy wet road wont pull out w/o sliping on my old 97 F250 light duty.

master crafts are a ok tire. Just a cheap tire. A friend of mine got about 40k miles on a set of CT. I have a set...but not going back with them going more aggressive.

and the Goodyear duratrac is a good tire. I like kumhos.

Seeking advice on tires is risky. What may be important to me (good towing performance, snow and mud traction, long tread life) may be unimportant to someone else.

Tirerack.com has a section where you can compare tires and customer ratings of those tires. it is actually a very useful tool.

I also highly recommend the BFGs.

I would not rely on the advise of any salesman...

Tire rack will give you some real world experience.

Personally, I'm a Michelin man...They cost more up front but (for me) last longer than anything else I've tried and I tend to get less punctures (I'm in construction).

Honestly before we can give you advice on tires, we need to know what kind of driving you plan on doing with them: mostly highway, some off road, mudding etc.

If you are looking to do mostly on road or highway and want long life, I recommend Nitto Dura Grappler.

Here is the Tire rack chart..

Consumer Survey Results By Category

I bought the General Grabber AT2's and they have been great.. Not noisy and great in the snow.. I have about 8K miles on them and they are wearing well.. Price is reasonable too..

I got 24k on my duratracs and they still look good. I love 'em. They do awesome in the mud and snow, and are pretty quiet on the road... just a little howl but not too bad.

Also, heard great things about the general grabber at2's. i would have gone with those if they made their 315's in load range E. Especially with the low price.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was thinking 265/75/16 in a load range E. When it snows I'm on the road and I do some light wheeling during some weekends. In the summer its mostly highways but I dont mind any noise or even if they wear out a bit faster.

performanceparts4trucks.com has them in 265/75/16's for $159 a piece. If you call them up, they'll usually give you a better deal. fast shipping.

I have had Duratracs for 6k miles and I really like them. I love the looks too. I posted in another thread about the BFs. I had a set on my last half ton for 50k miles. They had tread left, and rode great the whole time.

I agree with what someone said earlier, though. Tell us what you'll be using the truck for. If I were towing a big trailer cross country, I would not have gone with the Duratrac. I tow a little, but spend a lot of time offroad, so the Duratracs work well for me. This is also my daily driver.
