You should start your own thread to post a question like this. The quick answer is no, it's not easy or anywhere close to plug-n-play.

Getting it mounted and bolted in won't be too hard, but not cheap. It is a different length, so trans mounts and driveshafts have to change. But that's the easy part. The PCM in your truck will not operate a 4R70W. So if you are content to let it operate only in fourth gear, this may be doable. But if you want it to shift, expect to have a very hard time to get this to work.
P R N (D) 2 1 - E4OD (1992+ will have OD cancel switch on column shifter) (1989-1991, OD cancel switch on dash, right side of steering column)
P R N (D) D 1 - AOD
P R N D 2 1 - C6
Or you can count the pan bolts.
17 pan bolts - C6
14 pan bolts - AOD
20 pan bolts - E4OD
Forewarning, this is my first post on here so I apologize for bad formatting or other culture informalities. My truck is a 1995 F-150 XLT 2wd with the 5.0L Windsor motor. Now, my instrument cluster says PRND21 but my pan has 14 bolts and an arm for a tv cable to attach on the driver’s side of the transmission, and I thought mine was an AOD.
your truck is also 30+ years old now.
unless you bought it new, the trans or shift indicator in the dash very well could have been changed.
I found out the trans is an AOD swapped from an older ford. I’m looking for a TV cable for it now but am coming up short. Trying in the Lokar area. Do you know of any cable that works for this swap?
I used the Lokar TV cable on my '89 351W Crown Vic. Originally a '2-barrel' Variable Venturi carburetor, I had to make my own cable mounts when I went with a Holley 4-barrel carb - actually adapted the stock VV throttle/TV cable mount. How anyone would make that work with a truck EFI manifold/throttle body is unknown. The least-headache solution would be to find the correct electronically-controlled AOD-E/4R70W trans.

Fox Body AODs also have a different shifter linkage for the floor shifters, vs the column shift AODs found in trucks, vans, Crown Vics, Marquis, Town Cars... If you are referencing the TV cable for those EFI cars, the Fox chassis are also different than Panther (Crown vics) (right vs left mount for the throttle body), and also different than the taller 5.0 Truck/van manifold/throttle body
