351W EFI build

i have a 1992 F250 with the 5.8 i use the truck to pull 20ft enclosed trailer and almost every day use i am in the process of building a motor for it i have a block bored .030 over i am going with the AFR 165 heads and want to get the Edelbrock intake kit 3881k part # 350-3881k 5.8 intake kit www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/3881K/10002/-1?parentProductId=751770[/URL] now the ? i have is what cam should i use and what size injectors and will this create issues with the computer system thanks

Cam I suggest is the Crane 444232 with 24lb injectors, and yes all this is going to cause issues with the computer... it won't be able to manage it. So you're going to need to convert to mass air and get a tuner or use a aftermarket EFI system.

ok thanks now is there at kit to covert it to mass air and a tuner for just this or am i going to have to go to a different way i really dont want to deal with issue from puttin this and that on but if theres a kit to swap it all over it would be great

That is a lot of motor to just tow. For towing the switch to mass air will do a lot to improve mileage and part throttle drivability.

But a lot can be done within the stock parameters. A mild cam, a little more compression with bigger valves in the head. And there is as much to gain in your drivetrain as there is in your motor. Transmission, converter, driveshaft and gearing.

thanks but trans is E40d all rebuilt shift kit and new converter and also gearing is good what can i do with out messing with computer and all the MAF stuff was told with it .030 over and a set of afr 165 heads and eddy intake and bbk throttle body and a mild SD cam i wouldnt have a problem is this true

The key to making a speed density computer happy is the cam, as long as you get a compatible cam you will be alright, and the mass air with a good computer will make a big difference in its own right.
