hp estimate

i was hoping for some estimates on hp from a 302 i recently swapped into my 68 f100. its .030 over with speedpro pistons, 9.5 to 1, E7 heads port matched with heavy exhaust port work, comp 224-230, .509-.512 cam, shorty headers w/ 2.5in dual exhaust, 600cfm holley, offy port o sonic single plane intake, stock bottom end. the motor seems to run very well in this old truck. i was guessing around 300hp and 325ftlbs.....

Yeah 300hp at the crank isn't a bad guess, E7 heads as cast are only good for about 275hp but there is surprising potential in them. In a recent thread I saw on one of the Mustang forums a guy managed about 400 crank HP with them but only after he spent something like 200hrs porting, obviously he really knew what he was doing.

I looked and can't find the thread at the moment, but if I remember correctly it was right up there with what an AFR165 does.

i dont have any numbers on the flow but i spend alot of time on the exhaust side removing the bump and matching the gaskets. the intake side isnt as bad, just matched the inlet to the gasket.
