So Carlos Santana is responsible for the winds.. a bit gassy maybe.. I learned in meteorology class that they are called Santa Ana winds because they blow at at such an extreme rate down the Santa ana river through the Santa Ana Canyon into the basin.... Boy was my professor ever wrong...... I'll make a note of that one.... I would write my prof and tell him but i think he is dead now..

Nah, I think Santa Ana's is correct. But Santana Winds versus Santa Ana Winds has been a contoversy in So Cal forever.

Dr. George Fishbeck cleared it all up for me. Santa Ana's is correct, and I only use Santana's when I want to spark a discussion.

Either way, I hope this dry warm weather doesn't bring on any fires. We've had enough light rains lately that I hope will help.

Has anyone else noticed that you have to hit the REPLY button twice to bring up an edit box? Since yesterday?

Still a lot of weird stuff going on with the site. I get the "Thank you for posting........." redirect just about every time I reply to a post. I've noticed it's slowed since yesterday also.

I don't know about the edit box thingy, but I'm sure ND could tell you. He edits every post he makes

I'm afraid I fall into that category as well. I can't write this badly in just one go at it.

Now I'm editing, and the quick edit box popped up as normal. Just 5 minutes ago, it didn't.

I also see we have a new RED search box at the top of the page. But nothing to tell you what areas your search will include.

It searches site wide, through all of the public forums. Returns results in reverse chronological order from what I can tell. Pretty useless if you're looking for something specific.

You fellers are lucky...you can edit your posts without leaving tracks. I leave tracks if I have to edit more than a minute after posting.

Legendary DJ Jim Ladd is out at KLOS - Local News - Orange County, CA - Santa Ana, CA - msnbc.com

Ladd has been around for a looooong time, and even though I stopped listening to the radio for music a long time ago, it's kinda sad to see "The Last DJ" get canned.

Always with the food, huh Steph?

I actually had one of those Saturday morning. It had been defiled, though Had the olive, onion & lime on a toothpick and everything except a piece of celery. If I had been buying I'd have complained.

So sad to see teh lonesome cowboy on the outs.. He truly is a legend! KLOS new owners have really ruined a legendary Radio Station. dropping JJ jackson. Rita Wilde, and Now Jim Ladd... is Joe bob Benson still on the air at KLOS? Joe is at every NHRA event I see him every year with at least one of his cars.... Racer and Radio Voice! Well hopefully Ladd will pop up on another class act radio station...
